Do I need to know my level before I start?
No. Tell the teacher what you can read now and what you want to learn. The first lesson can help the teacher choose a suitable starting point.
How do I choose between teachers?
Compare the subject, learner age, schedule, language, price, and teaching approach. Choose the profile that best matches the learner’s current need.
When is a lesson confirmed?
Choosing open times and confirming uses one package credit per lesson. The lessons are confirmed immediately and appear under My lessons. If a time was just taken, the preview tells you before you confirm.
Can I book for my child?
Yes. Add your child as a learner in your account, then select that learner when you book the lesson.
What do I need for an online lesson?
A phone, tablet, or laptop with a camera, microphone, and internet connection. The lesson room opens in your browser. No app to install. Join from My lessons up to 15 minutes before the lesson starts.
Can I cancel a lesson?
Confirmed lessons can be cancelled from the lesson page before they start. The credit returns to the package. For money questions, contact the eMakatib team.
What happens if the teacher misses the lesson?
Message us on WhatsApp with the lesson date. We will arrange a new time or a refund.
Can I move a lesson to another time?
Cancel the booked lesson (the credit returns to your package) and book a different open time.
How do refunds work?
eMakatib does not take online payments. The team receives payment outside the platform and records it. If a refund is agreed, the team records it and sends the money back through the original outside channel. A money refund never restores used lesson credits automatically; the team adds a separate credit adjustment when one is owed.
How are child learners kept safe?
A parent or guardian manages the account and must remain available during every child lesson. Teachers must keep communication on eMakatib and must not contact a child privately.
Can I change teachers later?
Yes. Return to the directory and choose another verified teacher if the teaching approach does not suit the learner.
