Terms of service

These terms apply when you visit eMakatib, create an account, apply to teach, book a lesson, or use a lesson room. By using eMakatib, you agree to these terms and the policies linked below.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or make a payment. A parent or legal guardian must create and manage every learner profile for a person under 18.

eMakatib helps learners find teachers, book live online lessons, make payments, and join a lesson room. Teachers provide the lessons as independent service providers. They are not employees of eMakatib.

We review teacher applications before publication. A verified mark means that eMakatib completed its stated review. It is not a guarantee of teaching results, personal compatibility, or future conduct.

Give accurate information and keep your account secure. Do not share access, impersonate another person, or create a learner profile without authority to do so.

The adult account holder is responsible for each learner profile, booking, payment, and communication made through the account. Tell us promptly if you believe that someone has used your account without permission.

Teachers must provide accurate profile, identity, qualification, availability, lesson, and payout information. They must teach only the subjects and learner groups they are competent to teach.

Verification, publication, and active status remain subject to review. We may ask for updated information, hide a profile, pause bookings, or suspend access when information is incomplete, inaccurate, expired, or raises a safety concern.

A booking is confirmed when eMakatib shows it as confirmed. Confirming a booking uses one lesson credit from your package. The booking page shows the lesson, learner, teacher, time, and credits required before you confirm.

eMakatib does not process online payments. An administrator records your payment outside the platform and grants lesson credits to your account. Currency conversion or bank fees charged by your bank are separate from the recorded amount.

Our Refund and cancellation policy explains cancellation deadlines, returned package credits, teacher cancellations, missed lessons, technical problems, and refund timing. That policy forms part of these terms.

Use respectful language and an appropriate name, image, background, and clothing. Do not harass, threaten, discriminate against, exploit, or share inappropriate material with another user.

Do not ask a learner or teacher to move payments off eMakatib. Do not exchange unnecessary private contact details. Lessons are not recorded by eMakatib. You must not record or publish a lesson without the clear consent of every adult participant and, for a child, the parent or guardian.

You keep ownership of content that you submit. You give eMakatib a limited permission to store, display, and process that content only as needed to operate, protect, and improve the service.

Only upload content that you own or may lawfully use. Do not copy teacher profiles, lesson material, site content, trademarks, or software without permission.

We aim to keep eMakatib available, but we cannot promise uninterrupted access. Maintenance, internet failures, payment services, video services, and events outside our control can affect availability.

We may restrict or close an account when needed to protect a learner, teacher, payment, or the service; to investigate misuse; or to comply with law. Where practical, we will explain the reason and what the user can do next.

Learning progress depends on the learner, teacher, attendance, practice, and other factors. eMakatib does not promise a specific educational, religious, examination, or certification result.

Nothing in these terms removes a consumer right or other right that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

We may update these terms as eMakatib changes. We will update the date on this page and give reasonable notice when a material change affects an active booking or account.
